An all-female exhibition will be inaugurated on Saturday 4 March at 4 pm in the rooms of the Long Wing of the Castle of Monferrato. “JAS – Just Another Stage. L’anima oltre l’immagine”, curated by Paola Casulli, presents an exhibition route in which the photograph interacts with the sculpture: indeed the images of Francesca della Toffola, Antonella Iovino, Maria Cristina Mareschi, Isabella Quaranta, Paula Sunday and Lara Zanardi, in addition to the very young Emma Farina, will dialogue with the three-dimensional quality of the works by Roberta Omodei Zorini giving life to a thought on the world and on art convincingly mediated by
female sensitivity.

The intimate and deep research realised by this project intends to accompany the visitors through the exhibition in which it is possible to rediscover the essence of reality, finding the authentic identity of people and art, overcoming the distortions of the contemporary which seems to take over and confuse virtual with real.


The exhibition, composed of more than 30 photographs and 5 sculptures, will be open to visitors until 30 April and the setting for a number of cultural events that will follow one another during the entire exhibition period, giving life to a true widespread cultural event.

Culture Councillor Giglola Fracchia says: "With this event we celebrate women and their essential role in society and culture: a series of cultural events which consolidates the role of the Castle as "hub of knowledge" at the service of the community of Casale and Monferrato".

Anna Monfreda will open the series of events on Wednesday 8 March at 6 pm in the Long Wing, and present her book "Ho scritto questo libro invece di divorziare" (Published by Feltrinelli); Saturday 11 March at 6 pm, in the same exhibition spaces, the author Nadia Busato with "Factory girl" (Sem Editions) and Sara D'Amario who will present “(Xxn)Sfumaturedidonnediscienza” (directed by François-Xavier Frantz) at 9 pm at the Municipal Theatre.

The events of April will open on 15 at 6 pm with the conference of Elena Botta dedicated to "Le Donne di Quentin, un viaggio nell'universo femminile di Tarantino" to continue on Saturday 22 with the event "Donne nel verde, passeggiata ecologica sul Lungo Po" organised in association with the Management Authority of the Protected Areas of the Piedmont Po". Friday 28 April will be dedicated to the celestial vault with two events realised in association with the Amateur Astronomers Group of Casale: from 6:30 pm "Luna al Castello"
Sunday 30 April the finissage realised by Chiara Olivero and Agnese Coppola with “Il paese dell’anima nella poesia di Marina Cvetaeva”.
