Description
Three special events at the Civic Museum
to mark the Monfrà Jazz Fest

Guided tours among art, culture and nature

To mark Monfrà Jazz Fest 2024, and embracing the vision of discovering the territory accompanied by the great attention to culture and the environment, the Civic Museum of Casale Monferrato offers three events to explore the museum heritage of Casale thanks to specific perspectives.

The events will get underway on THURSDAY 20 JUNE at 6.30 pm with "Affresco verde. Elementi naturali e simbolismo nelle Lunette". The appointment, organised in collaboration with Accademia Le Muse presents a journey, led by Barbara Corino for the Museum and by garden designer Marco Marinone, among the natural and symbolic elements of the frescoes of Guglielmo Caccia known as il Moncalvo in the Cloister of Santa Croce, home to the Museum.

On SATURDAY 22 JUNE at 4.30 pm it will be the turn of the artistic/choreographic workshop "Natura e movimento: motricità con aromi e profumi" fifty minutes conducted by Milena Zanellati along a route suited to any age to discover the connection between art, nature and perfumes that will help participants to bring movement and perception together thanks above all to the charming setting of the Small Cloister and its aromatic plants. Thyme and rosemary will prepare for correct breathing, pomegranate, dill, Aleppo rue will help in the more intense muscular phase and, finally, rose and marjoram will favor the cooling down phase.

This series will end with "La musica intorno a Bistolfi". On SUNDAY 23 JUNE, at 5.30 pm, close to the Celebration of Music, the museum guide Costanza Biani will take visitors on a guided themed tour to explore the curious links between the sculptor from Casale, master of Symbolism, and the world of music with a focus on several characters which have distinguished themselves in this area, such as the composer and creator of rhythmic didactic studies Luigi Ernesto Ferraria. From the charcoal portrait dedicated to the latter, to the bust in plaster of Ludwig van Beethoven the countless interconnections between art and artists, disciplines and iconic figures will be
explored.

For each of these events a participation fee of €4 is required and booking is recommended at
