Within the scope of European Baroque music, the meeting between Italian and German traditions has given way to a fascinating dialogue, able to merge Italian liveliness and grace with the severity and depth typical of Germany.
This fusion has been one of the fundamental stages in the evolution of music language in the Baroque period, leading to the creation of works which enclose melodic beauty and structural intellectuality in an extraordinary synthesis.

L'Archicembalo, in a trio formation with violinist Marcello Bianchi, cellist Claudio Merlo and harpsichord player Daniela Demicheli, in the concert entitled " M'inebriava il dolce canto", which will be held on Wednesday 3 July at 9 pm at the Michele Pittaluga Auditorium of the Vivaldi Music conservatory in Alessandria, will tackle the great German instrumental production between the seventh and eighteenth century - represented by the genius of Bach, Handel and Telemann, with our "home-grown" triumph Vivaldi and two rarely heard names, from Lombardy: Gasparo Visconti and Paolo Benedetto Bellinzani.

L’Archicembalo will perform Sonata on the theme of Follia by Bellinzani, remarkable for its combination of technical virtuosity, melodic beauty and expressive emotion, characteristics which make it one of the most representative of the composer and of the Baroque period in general and one of the Sonatas of Op. 1 by Visconti which marked a turning point in the evolution of the violin as solo instrument and influenced the development of instrumental music in the European Baroque period.
