17th NATIONAL URBAN TREKKING DAY
Art and History immersed in greenery "La Collina di Monterosso" Departure from Piazza Levi to walk up to the Mausoleum of the Ottolenghi family, an imposing stone construction that dates back to the 20th century, which leads towards the Villa Ottolenghi. It is an authentic architectural jewel of the 20th century and catches the eye for its majesty. The villa is home to a neoclassical garden work of the landscape architect Pietro Porcinai, awarded in 2011 with the European Garden Prize Award, as the most beautiful formal garden in Europe. After admiring a unique panorama of the hills you descend gently towards the historic centre and piazza della Bollente, where you find the homonymous thermal spring (1879). The route ends at the Regional Wine Shop Acqui Terme & Vino with a farewell toast.
