Castles and historic houses

 
The history of our Province has been long and tormented, fought out against a backdrop of slow, tough journeys, of gradual change and a succession of invasions, attacks and occupations which have left castles and defensive fortifications scattered throughout every corner of the region.
 
 
The sites that make up this itinerary have been selected, under the supervision of the Department, and the selection includes the most important examples in terms of history, art and architecture with, at the same time, guaranteed opening hours and opening periods or a booking facility designed to meet the needs of tourists.
